Oru Kayak’s proprietary material, OruPlast™, is engineered for the perfect balance of durability, flexibility, and lightweight performance. This custom polypropylene offers high puncture and abrasion resistance, ensuring it withstands rugged outdoor conditions. A UV treatment enhances longevity, protecting against sun exposure. Designed for repeated folding, OruPlast™ allows kayaks to fold thousands of times without weakening—making them both portable and long-lasting for adventurers on the go.

Fold Pattern & Skeg

Oru Kayaks feature a fold pattern designed to accommodate the Oru Kayak Skeg. This skeg improves tracking and maneuverability, providing stability in flat water and when turning. It easily slides in and locks into place, with a simple removal mechanism. An installation template and instruction card are included.

Seat System

The new modular seat system allows paddlers to easily swap between the EVA cushion and the gel cushion by unscrewing two 1/4-turn screws, offering customizable comfort.

Bulkhead Stiffeners

Applicable models (except Lake & Lake Sport) now include bulkheads and bulkhead channels, enhancing stiffness and structural integrity for improved performance on the water.

Rail Track

Enables attachment of fishing gear, phones, cameras, and other third-party accessories to the kayak’s sides.
